Meet the Matrix Management Team:

Chaun Mackey, Partner and President

Since his days at Washington State University, Chaun Mackey has known exactly what he wanted to do:  work with developers to sell and market their real estate. For the past 21 years that is exactly what he has been doing - helping major developers and financial institutions in the greater Seattle area to achieve their sales goals.

Right out of college in 1992, Chaun went to work as a community sales manager for Polygon Homes where he got his feet wet working for Dave Harding. He progressed to Windermere Yarrow Bay as an independent account manager and community sales manager. From there, he became director of sales and marketing for McCaugherty Companies where he managed the entire development and sales process for over 400 units in five multi-family projects.

Chaun joined Mike Miller at Miller Condominium Marketing in 2002, and his energy and drive propelled him to the position of president. He is now one of the founding partners of Matrix Real Estate, and also serves as president of Matrix, overseeing the daily operations of the company.

With a natural knack for understanding the financial side of the business, Chaun has a keen awareness of developers’ goals and strengths. He works diligently with developers and financial institutions to understand their strategic and financial goals and help them meet their goals with sales and marketing programs.  He is an innovator, always on the leading edge of what’s new and possible in terms of buyer financing and he is always in-the-know on special programs that financial institutions are bringing to the marketplace.

Chaun has great long-term partnerships with research analysts, lenders, banks, title and escrow companies, and he inherently understands the competitive marketplace. A true sales coach, his knowledge and energy motivate sales teams to perform at their best.

Chaun has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Washington State University. In his spare time, Chaun enjoys being in the mountains, snowmobiling with friends and traveling abroad.

Mike Miller, Partner and Designated Broker

With a passion for real estate and a knack for surrounding himself with an exceptional team, Mike Miller is a consummate real estate professional. As a founding partner of Matrix Real Estate, he is continuing to fuel his drive for helping developers find the best marketing and sales team for their communities.

For the past 21 years, Mike Miller has dedicated his professional life to Seattle-area real estate. In 1995 he recognized the opportunity for a niche-specialization in condominium marketing when he joined Faye Torgerson at Coldwell Banker Bain Associates in Bellevue. Within five years, from his start as a community sales manager, he was promoted through the ranks to senior management at Torgerson and Associates and then in 2000 Mike purchased the company from Faye and formed Miller Condominium Marketing.

For the next fifteen years, Mike grew his company, renamed MCM Group, into one of the most well-respected and largest-volume condominium marketing firms in the greater Puget Sound area. Specializing in for-sale multi-family product, MCM Group's diverse portfolio ranged from Tacoma to Everett, including low-, medium- and high-rise condominiums, townhome communities, and both new construction and conversions.

Mike was instrumental in merging MCM Group to form Matrix Real Estate, which now has a diversified product focus including single family and resort communities from the Washington Coast to Central Washington.

Mike has a warm presence and leadership style that naturally draw people to him, allowing him to form long-term partnerships and retain the best sales and management teams. One of his credos is “no ego” – with everyone working on the same team for the benefit of the developer and the community.  He particularly enjoys working in a team environment, collaborating with the development and design team from early site and product development through project sell-out. His ability to oversee the big picture while managing the fine details ensures that nothing falls through the cracks.

Often called upon to speak about the local condominium market, Mike has also taught CSP (Community Sales Professional) classes for the local Master Builders Association.

Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree from City University, and was named the William A. Bain Associates “Rookie of the Year” in 1990. Today he enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling and being where the sun shines.

Previously, he was Managing Director of The Ryness Company’s Washington and Oregon divisions. During his tenure, Ryness was the nation’s largest independent seller of residential real estate.

Gildersleeve has over 25 years of senior management experience in various marketing, sales and operations positions with public companies, including Hilton, Wyndham, MeriStar and Trendwest. He received a BS degree from Western Kentucky University, where he currently serves on its advisory board, as well as an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Larry is involved across the entire spectrum of domestic and international residential real estate, from undeveloped land to luxury high rise condominium towers, and from resort destinations to large urban centers. Larry is affiliated and has a joint venture partnership with Chicago-based NRC.

Through his own resources and a global network of professional relationships, especially with European-based Dean & Associates, Larry can accommodate virtually any consulting assignment involving resort real estate anywhere in the United States and around the world.

Larry specializes in engagements where he can drive revenue and profit without increasing overhead by opening new channels of distribution to either un-served or under-served customers. Results are achieved by leveraging a client company’s own resources, as well as increasing market share or facilitating new market entry through strategic alliances and cooperative marketing relationships. Current engagements include Home Away, CardConnect, and Ski and Sea.
